I don't think it's "bad" for you in moderation. Afterall, spinach is one of the best vegetables there are to eat! The only "bad" part would be the fat in the mayonnaise that is usually in it but you can cut that drastically by using light or even fat-free mayo. And when I make spinach dip I also use sour cream but you can buy light or fat-free in that too. Of course, I am talking about homemade spinach dip. Store bought stuff probably is a lot worse for you... and doesn't taste very good either, in my opinion.
Also, what you DIP in the spinach dip can count too! It doesn't have to be crackers and stuff. You can dip veggies in it - cut up celery, carrots, green pepper slices, etc.... and then you are upping your veggie-intake as well!
