Emeril's a punk *****. don't buy anything he's selling. you could make your own that tastes better easily. Emeril just wants your money.

Let me just educate you on sauces in jars! They are crap!!! serioulsy crap! If ya wanna make a pasta sauce ill tell you how to do it.
1. pour about 2 tablespoons of olive oil into a pan and heat the oil for about 1 min.
2. crush some fresh garlic into the pan and let sizzle for about a min, dont let the garlic go brown though it will over power the sauce
3. Pour a carton of passata in (passata is just tomatoe sauce no additives)
4 This is where the tricks come into it. Add a level teaspoon of salt, heaped teaspoon of basil, a heaped teaspoon of oregano, and a teaspoon of pesto and ground some black pepper into the sauce depending on taste.
5 bring the sauce to the boil but keep stirring occasionally as it's heating up. Once boiled turn the gas or heat right down
There you have it a much more superior sauce than any jarred crap. you can even experiment with this sauce like adding clams, mushrooms, tuna fish etc. for a bolognese sauce repeat step 1 and step 2 but add onions with step 2 keep the lid on the pan and let the onions sweat for about 5 mins dont burn them though, so it is vital to cook them slowly. Then after add some mince meat and cook it all till it changes colour then pour some red wine into the pan to taste. then after that repeat the other steps. Im italian and i can gurantee you this will beat any jar sauce and i have never failed to get women into bed off this sauce. jar sauce is an insult to me. happy cooking

Is truth that a home made slow cooked sauce is the best you can get, but Emeril's sauce is good, better than others. For personal experience I can tell that it doesn't give me heartburn.
