You should have told the piercer that you would attempt to take it out. I think they could have put in a less conspicuous barbell for you. And you really can't take it out unless it has healed or else it will just close up.

Stop trying to force the piercing back through the opening! That will just irritate the piercing and make it more difficult for you to get the jewelery back in properly. Call up the piercer as soon as possible and ask him/her if they can take a look at the damage and try to do something about it. If the jewelery still goes through one entry-point, you may need to have the piercing tapered so open the other end. If worse comes to worse, you might have to have it re-pierced altogether, especially if it's fresh!

It has either shrunk or started to heal. A Pro might be able to taper the hole open again if it's only shrunk up a bit. Don't force the jewelry through, you'll cause too much damage to the tissue, leading to scaring and possible infection. If it's started to heal up, you'll have to wait about 6 weeks and get it pierced again.
If you want to keep the piercing, you will need to get a retainer for it. It's not advisable to be switching jewelry constantly, even with healed piercings. You'll need to keep the retainer in untill it's passed the initial healing period, don't switch it at all during that time. After that I would recomned leaving the retainer in through the week, and only putting your regular jewelry in on weekends to cut down on the ammount of switching you need to do.

first, once you get it back in quit taking it out. if you don't leave it alone and let it heal it will not heal right. if you don't lose the piercing or end up with a scar, you will have a really high chance of infection. if you absolutely can't just leave it as is for school, eother put a bandaid over it to cover it up or put a clear retainer in it and leave that in there until it heals.
if you can put it in on both sides, you should be able to get it through, it's just a matter of lining up the holes. if you still can't to it, go back to your piercer and ask for help.

Have a piercer help you reinsert the jewelry so you don't cause trauma to your piercings.
Furthermore, try wearing a retainer while at school. Its not good to just take the jewelry out of a piercing and put in back in later. There always should be something in it. If your school won't allow for a retainer to be worn, then say good bye to the piercing until you get out of school.

I would think that it might be hazardous to force it thru your lip if it's not going through to the other side. I don't want you to cause more injury and possibly get an infection. In the least, perhaps sterilize your lip with hydrogen peroxide though **please do contact your doctor and ask for his or her advice. He or she may just tell you to allow the hole to close up, and get it redone sometime in the future.

just try to shove it through. if you have 2 rings, do it from both sides. it will probably be painful. i've had to do this twice because my tongue started to close up. you probably should have thought it through about school b efore you got the piercing though! bodycandy.com has clear "retainers" that will help conceal your piercings. and cheap.
