I know a blood clot is suppose to be there temporarily but what about after that heals?

Will I be able to eat chips and pretzels a week after they get removed?

You'll have a hole for a while. Quite a while.
As for the chips and pretzels - forget it and even grosser is the fact that until the holes completely close, food will get jammed in there. Very unpleasant!

Eventually it will fill in. You need to make sure to use the syringe they give you to flush the holes out with water while they are healing. If you get food stuck in there for long it can cause a bad infection.

Yes, eventually the gum will fill in the gap left by the tooth.

It takes at least 2 months to fill in, gradual process.

Your bone fills in. Yes you can eat the harder stuff again, I would wait for at least seven days.
