Hi mybluetee,
It sounds like it is having trouble establishing a connection with the network.
Try disabling your security program just for a couple minutes and see if the connection establishes fast. If so look at your security program settings for your problem.

im getting the same thing with ie7?
firefox should be faster than ie7
and it is absolutely a safer browser to use
but then again
it DOES NOT like yahoo email (firefox browser)
and is terrible for doing attachments with yahoo email
and some things will NOT download onto the desktop w/firefox
in my opinion you need them both
ie and firefox?

You need to get rid of the spyware which is reporting back to the mothership. Google Ad-aware download the free version and run it. If you can't stay online long enough to do that then go control panel>internet option> delete cookies

Firefox is the best around. IE7 takes time if you have a number of add-ons for it takes time for them to get set on the page.

you ought to test your laptop with the aid of any anitvirus first then the subject with internet explorer reinstall it lower back yet i might recommend you to apply firefox somewhat than explorer, microsoft consistently have some form of project with explorer they probably didnt have the script written suited or something incorrect with the server.

Without knowing more information.. I would say it is your processor power. But, in reality. There's no real way of knowing for sure.
