You can make a lot with hamburger meat. You also have to have a open mind, because hamburger is something that you can make a lot with and get creative with it. I make meat loaf, meatball subs, add the meat to pasta dishes (like tuna helper... add hamburger instead), mix the meat with some cheese and pizza sauce and roll out some biscuits and make a homemade calzone. There are endless ideas... as a matter of fact I just made up that last one on the spot, I think I will use that tomorrow night.

I make "porcupines" with it sometimes. Take hamburger with some onion (or onion soup mix), pepper, and any other spices you like. Mix it with cooled, boiled rice or leftover simmered rice. (If I have to boil rice for this, I take 1/2 cup rice with 2 cups water and boil with a little salt and olive oil for 5-6 minutes until tender and drain thoroughly). You may end up with more rice than you need, so don't be afraid to throw away the extra. Its better than too much rice in the mix.
Mix together and form little meatballs. Personally, I like 1 1/2 to 2 oz meatballs, but make them to your size. You can make up a whole bunch of real small ones if you have the extra energy. Depending on the meat, you might want to mix in a a slightly beaten egg to help hold it together. Brown in a pan, then set aside and make a brown gravy (homemade or packaged). Simmer for 15 minutes, turning as needed.
Meanwhile, boil your favorite egg noodles or dumplings to serve as the pasta for this. Serve the porcupines and gravy over the noodles.

I know, I struggle with this as well.
Some other ideas
Goulash (elbow macaroni boiled, and cook ground beef with diced onion or onion powder. After cooking, add 2 large cans stewed tomatoes with no onion or green pepper)
Teriyaki beef (I use House of Tsang Korean Teriyaki sauce and then serve with rice)

I like meat loaf; also, you can put it in casseroles, or make goulash. You can also try something like stuffed bell peppers, or similar dishes.
If they don't like what you're cooking, then tell them to get up and fix their own food; that usually cuts down considerably on the complaints, in my experience. ;-)
