That is actually a tricky one. Has he been calling you and keeping in contact? Or did you two just go out and he vanished off the face of the earth? If it's the first one, I say proceed with caution, considering that he hasn't attempted to take you out again in 6 months. If it's the latter, it's time to move on because he felt that he could just take you out once and drop you, and therefore, you shouldn't be wasting your energy wondering about him. I'm sure there's someone else checking you out, so I would be trying to find out what they are about.
