ok my moms friend has like 11 dogs!!
ollie: golden retriever
emma: cocker spaneil
ellie: golden
lucas: alaskan malamute
sasha: alaskan malamute
duke: maltese
plush: HUGE golden!
mimi: 8 day old yorkie
foda: golden
sophie: found in street
mon: sophie's sister (found together)
my question is, how can they survive together, they wont fight? can they kill the baby? (mimi) as for the baby she was rescued, how can they take care of her?..she was rescued from a shelter.. ellie the golden retriever is trying to act like her mother but she hurt mimi once trying to keep her away from the other dogs by almost sitting on top of her..help?

As long as they are all healthy, and well taken care of, they'll be fine.

As the person above me said, dogs are pack animals. One will take ''alpha'' position, and that's the end of that.

If ''Mimi'' is only 8 days old, she shouldn't be around the adult dogs, but rather should be in a contained & safe room, and bottle fed OFTEN. Consult a vet for recommended feeding schedule.

I answered this on the other thread. As for the baby yorkie, she will have to be bottlefed about every 2 hours for the first few weeks. She needs to be fed day and night.

We have a multiple dog household and the dogs get along fine except for some minor squabbles. They do great with our puppies. The females always try to mother the little ones. The males tolerate them okay.

Dogs are pack animals. They thrive in a crowded environment. It's what they know best (by instinct). Don't worry about them as long as they are being taken care of.

don't worry just MAKE them put the yorkie back it is VERY young and shouldn't be owned this early in life
