I have had little light FLASHES in my lower left eye every once and a while..I went to see an opthamologist and they say to come back in a month...Are they ever gonna go away or what?? Why are they waiting a month to see me again??

Have your BP checked.
Rule out Diabetes.
very often the are the above 2 conditions which are accidentally discovered on routine medical examination.

I know I have them too, there probably floaters.The deal is the doc wants to check to see, if there are more of them or not. It could be the beginnings of retina detachment. This why you need to keep a close check on this situation.
