I am presenting on the topic of health to my college class and I would like a quick simple recipe that I can make and hand out to them. I prefer it to be a snack recipe.

These are healthy

Pizza Bread Sticks

Ingredients

1 your favorite pizza dough
1 8 oz jar prepared pizza sauce
garlic salt
oregano
1 tb olive oil (or butter - melted)
Cut pizza dough into 1 X 6 inch strips. Place on a greased cookie sheet about 1/2 inch apart. Brush with olive oil and season with garlic salt, oregano to taste. Bake at 350 F for 11 to 17 minutes or until golden brown. While these are in the oven, heat pizza sauce.

Quick & healthy, almost no fat at all make sure your ingredients are well chilled if you are making it in class. Serve in 2 oz. portion cups, or the small Dixie cups.

2, 11-oz. cans mandarin oranges, drained 1, 8-oz. container low-fat or nonfat vanilla yogurt
1 teaspoon almond extract (or to taste)
1, 2-oz. package sliced almonds

Mix all ingredients in large bowl. (May chill overnight.)
Number of servings: 4

You can make a nice sweet treat called GINGERED FRUIT COMPOTE:
1/2 cup dried tart cherries, dried blueberries, raisins, or currents
1/2 teaspoon finely shredded orange peal
1/2 cup white grape juice
2 tablespoons orange liqueur or white grape juice
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tablespoons finely chopped crystallized ginger
4 cups thinly sliced, peeled peaches, nectarines, apples and/or pears
1 Tablespoon margarine butter

In a 1 1/2 quart casserole combine dried fruit, orange peel, juice, orange liqueur, brown sugar and ginger. Stir in peaches, nectarines, apples and/or pears; dot with margarine or butter.

2. Baked covered in a 375* oven for 40-45min. or til fruit is tender. stir after 30min. of baking Serve warm.

(If you want to use tropical fruit prepare as above except substitute 4 cups cubed pineapple, papaya, and/or mango for the peaches, nectarines, apples and/or pears.)
