going blonde?

I know! so cliche and all that stuff but i genunely like the color and it looks great with my skin. I'm worried though, do you think it would make me seem "fake"? people generally assume girls or women who dye their hair blonde want to be like hollywood stars but i just love blonde hair! do you think this would make me seem fake to other wome and do you like blonde hair?

If you like it - do it. It is a good experiment. Blonde is the easiest to recolor to any other color if you don't happen to like it. I don't think people will assume bad things about you just because of your hair color. Some shallow people might, but I wouldn't worry about them.

Well, since this is the first time you plan to color your hair, might I suggest Natural Instincts, which is a temporary color. It will last about 28 shampoos...

Or possibly Highlights instead of the entire head of hair....

The reason for my suggestions, when the roots grow out, then it is going to seem fake and they are a PAIN to keep up with and if you end up hating it, you can recover from temporary coloring or highlights alot easier.

But doing/not doing something because of what someone else thinks...??? OH HE** NO!! Never- ever do, or refrain from doing something, because of what other people may "generally think".

I joined the USMC in 1986, even though people "generally thought" that all women that joined the military were either too dumb to get a real job; were trying to land a husband or were lesbians (none of the above apply). Considering I made it a career, it would have been a crappy move to "listen to the masses without a clue" right?

no, I don't think people would think you're fake. ex: People dye their hair brown....but that doesn't make them "fake" Blonde is just a color - (which everyone should realize by now) people shouldn't be worried about your hair color in the first place. I love the hair color of blonde, i think it should look great on you

If you like it go for it! You will get more attention blonde, good and bad (bad from other girls mainly) but don't worry about what other people think. I love blonde hair too, I've got proper platinum hair and I don't plan on changing it for a long time :)

I am naturally brunette and I dye my hair blonde from time to time. I do it because I like it, and I don't worry about what anyone else thinks. Just go for it, but get it done by a professional.

I think a person should do whatever they want to with their hair. You are the one who has to live with it. You don't say how dark your hair is now. Maybe streaking it first to go blonde gradually would be the way to go into it so it isn't such a drastic change all at once.

No I don't think iti will. If your friends like you now THEY will look fake if they don't when you change a little thing like your hair. And to everyone else- why would you care!?! If they aren't your friend and your new hair puts them out you probably wouldn't want 'em for a friend.

okay...first off blonde is not the official "bimbo" color. i have been blonde all my life and i love it. blonde is kinda attention getting and sexy. it's a classic color that will never fade out. it looks great with tan skin but i think if ur too pale it may make you look a little washed out. but no you wouldn't seem fake....don't let the stereotypes fool you.

Don't worry about what other people think. But if you are going to go blonde, to make it more suttle, I'd go for a darker blonde, golden, not platinum. You also might want to do some brown lowlights!

Well i dyed my hair blonde too! I love the color too! Only my hair kind of strawberry blondish!i dont think its fake if you truely like it!I would say go for it!
