I assume you are refering to the trend of not identifying the race of a suspect in the media. Well it doesn't help at all. Why ignore the most dominant feature of an individual when giving a description if capture and arrest is what you are after? Bottom line is the media is about making money not assisting in catching criminals. Pressure gets brought against anybody who mentions "black" or even african-american and they cave in, abandoning the practice all together. Pretty soon reports will say " the police are looking for a male or female that is approx 8'0" to 3'0" tall and may or may not belong to any ethnic group at all."

Not only does political correctness NOT help catch criminals, it helps hinders catching them. If I am not allowed to mention the race or ethnic background of the suspect, I can't give an accurate description. Avoiding "profiling" is a politically correct way to say "Don't look for criminals."

It doesn't, and worse still let's them get off with punishment so light it could hardly be called "punishment".
(wonder if the police could get away with charging these political correctness plonkers with "hindering a criminal investigation" or "wasting Police time"?)
