Why so sure that humans are at the top of the evolution chain?

If we were related in any way we would be able to reproduce with this species. However, we cannot. Why? Because just as God said everything is able to reproduce only according to it's own kind. Take for instance the case of the donkey reproducing with the horse. It is able to reproduce a hybrid mule because the donkey and horse are cousins. The resulting offspring is sterile. Why? Because the limits of their kind has been reached and therefore they cannot reproduce any further. Open your eyes and acknowledge the fact that we have a Creator in whose image we are created. We have a conscience and were given dominion over the animals by our Father! There is a vast gulf that exists between man and animal! If you really look science is telling you why we do not come from animals! It is because everything created has a maker! God is our Maker!

Technically, people did no longer "evolve from" apes. to assert this could be declaring that apes have died; evolution is the modifications in populations of species over quite a few generations. additionally, it is an invalid fact because of the fact opposite to primary concept, evolution isn't linear. Species do no longer basically grow to be different species over the years. Evolution is almost a tree, and it branches. All organisms on the earth have descended from an early trouble-loose ancestor. heavily appropriate species proportion a comparatively modern-day trouble-loose ancestor, and much less appropriate species proportion a much off trouble-loose ancestor. people and apes, that are very heavily appropriate and proportion approximately ninety 8% of the comparable DNA, proportion a modern-day trouble-loose ancestor.

We're not. We are on top of most of the food chains, though. Humans are still evolving, though slowly. We have much less environmental pressure on us to adapt right now.

Note: That could change in the near future. Whether through pollution, global warming, disease, or some other hard-to-resist force.

Actually, both apes and humans are "at the top of the evolution chain". Its our common ancestor that isn't (anymore).

We aren't. Since everything started at the same place with the first microrganism, everything is equally evolved from there.

The confusion is the 'we came from apes or monkeys' part. We all evolved from a common ancestor - not from modern apes.

Aside from reiterating the point that has been made by many others (i.e. that is no 'top' of the evolutionary tree) I would like to point out that we are, in fact apes ourselves. Humans, along with gorillas, chimps, and orangutans, are members of the Great Ape family. We are not above or below apes, we ARE apes.

Brand new account? You are either a troll or very silly. Apes and humans share a COMMON ancestor, neither evolving from the other.

They are not. It's not a top to bottom thing...we evolved from common ancestors, we're all equally "ranked" but different. Actually, we're "ranked" by Linnaeus' system, but that's different. Both evolved from a common ancestor...neithers on top. We're horizontal, if you wish, on the chain of taxonomy.

That's what the movie "Planert of the Apes" was all about. One day, in the far future,, your ancestors will revert back to their simian origins, and laugh at stories of their human lineage.

Well you can tell from DNA. But beyond that we are separate branches so neither came from the other.

We are the top, because we are the dominant species. You want to argue that point?
