I have a male roommate. We have been living together for 2 months. Yesterday he walked from the bathroom to his room completely naked after taking a shower crossing the living room.

How would you react to that?
Would you cover your eyes?

I would ignore it. No, I would not cover my eyes. Just ignore it. It floats his boat--he'll either continue the behavior for his own enjoyment or stop if it's for your benefit and you ignore it.

Are you friends or is he someone you just live with? I had a female roommate who liked to sit around naked. I used to respond by throwing blankets over her. I would do the same with a male roommate provided we had a friendly relationship...

If on the other hand, it was more of a landlord-tenant interaction in which you were renting out a room of your apartment or house, I'd be very direct and firm about it, but professional.

Hmmm.how well do you know him??? I'd say if he looks good, then who cares....if he doesn't look so hot naked, then maybe you should tell him you feel uncomfortable!!

I'm hoping he's hot!!!! :)

It's always weird when you're in a "roomate" situation with the opposite sex. But sometimes it's best to just let things roll. Guys don't remember or think about things too long, so try to not let the little things get to you. It's the best way to remain sane!!!

Hey, at least you have a guy around to kill bugs and do fix it work!! :)

If your relationship is strictly platonic, then he was showing quite a bit of disrespect to that arrangement. You have put yourself in a vulnerable position however, and that could easily be mis-read, by someone who wanted to read more into it. How you respond to this action will set the tone of how you want things to be in the future. I think you most definitely need to set some ground rules, and get things settled as to how things should properly be handled in the future.

It wouldn't faze me at all. I have a male roommate. It's no big deal. I've seen him naked and he's seen me. It doesn't bother either of us. We live in a 2 bedroom apartment and we are going to see things. Who cares? We're both adults. It's nothing we haven't seen before.

I probably wouldn't cover my eyes, because I shouldn't have to! I'd be angry because he didn't respect me!

I believe, for some twisted thinking, that he's trying to seduce you. Yeah, doesn't make any sense but that's one of the standard plot in porn movies and some guys do think it works that way.

I'd tell him that I would appreciate that he be covered up in the common area.

I won't certainly not cover my eyes because he did that to be noticed. But it will surely bother me so I will talk to when he is dressed and tell him straight that we should at least consider each others feelings. Being roommates is a compromise.

I wouldn't react at all, I don't think it's strange when housemates see each other naked, even if there's no family or bf/gf relationship. Non-sexual nudity isn't a big deal.

Dude, if he was like totally hot or something, I'd be like SCORE!!! But if not, well, I'd be like whateva. Nudity doesn't bother me, but if you think he's like trying to make a move on you, and you feel uncomfortable, then you need to set some ground rules and let him know what is and what isn't acceptable.

if this was the first time he did it, then he probably forgot a towel. if this isn't the first time he has done it, then he's probably comfortable with it. if it bothers you, then either leave when he's not dressed, or ask him to put some clothes on. if it doesn't bother you, then it doesn't really matter. but it probably does bother you, or else you wouldn't have posted a question about it.
