It would be a blessing if your dog isn't pregnant. It doesn't sound like you should be intentionally breeding dogs.

A dog's gestation period is 9 weeks - just 63 days. It is possible that she was locked up with a male without getting pregnant. It is possible if this is her first pregnancy that she will only have one or two pups. It is possible that it is a false pregnancy. The only way to know for sure, is take the dog to the vet and get an x-ray of what is inside. If she is pregnant you will be able to count the babies on the x-ray. Good Luck to you -k-

Yes, dogs are a lot like people in the sense that some DON'T show much-or even at all. It could be how many she has in her, or it could even be how they are positioned inside of her. Also, some animals do not let down their milk until just before, and sometimes, a little bit AFTER birth. But the majority of these posts are correct in saying that if she is, you'll know within a week's time. You may also try rubbing her belly, and then seeing if you can feel any "weird" movements inside her belly-it may or may not work, but it's worth a shot!
:-) good luck.

If she is pregnant you will know with in a week. Some dogs don't get real big, it just depends on there size. As for the size of the puppies it will depend on what she was bred with. They usually give birth in 8 to 9 weeks, unless it is a false pregnancy. If you are concerned take her to the vet or call them and tell of your concerns.

A dog's gestation period IS 62-65 days. So, if you can't feel little puppies moving around then, she may not be pregnant. False pregnancies DO happen and you really should get her to a vet so he can ultrasound her b/c there's also the possibility of her having puppies that didn't survive inside her.
As for those of you who are so mean and degrading to this poor girl, shame on you! This is an open forum for people who don't know things to learn. If you can't answer nicely and respectfully, just keep it to yourself!

I actually had 1 female that was pregnant. I had taken her to the vets the week before . my daughter and I had come home to find she had given birth to 1 pup. even the vet didn't know she was pregnant. lost my place just had someone call with newborn pup thought it might be dyeing. So my question is did you see your dog tie with the male so you know for sure she could be pregnant.? And exactly when her due date is. It should be 63 days for the day of the first tie. I am estimating having pups next monday in 7 days. this time we know she is pregnant. big belly. crossing are fingers she makes 7 more days. Actually I had another female that went past her due date to. poor thing I had to hold her up on my pillow at night so her belly hung down so she could breath. she had 4 pups that time to many for her. anyway hope I have given you some help good luck. have to deal with my friends pup now.

Have the vet check her out. He can do xrays to see if there are any pups. If it has been 2 months since she was bred, the pups should be coming like any time now! Good luck.

Did you get her pregnancy diagnosed by the vet, because if you did, I'm sure that she is, I'm sure that dogs are like us, each person, starts showing at different times. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I didn't really start showing until I was 7 months. Good Luck!

yes, she is pregnant. the pups may just very small, because people we know have a big dog, and they bred her and said she did not at all look pregnant, but she had 10 pups.
stomach swollen, and enlarged teats, she should give birth soon

have a vet check her out if it doesn't seem like she is pregnant in the next 3-4 weeks.

She is probably not pregnant as she would have had the puppies by now (gestation is 60-65 days). Plus her teats are not enlarged and she does not have a distended abdomen. Take her to your vet. she wil take and x-ray and see.
