You should wait about a week. If you REALLY need your contacts, wear them and throw those old pair of contacts away as soon as yor eye is better. Remember to replace your contact case with a new one in order to avoid re-infection. If you have viral pink eye in only one eye, practice good hygiene to prevent the other eye from getting infected. Moreover, use rewetting eye drops to refresh your eyes for relief. Another alternative is... wear glasses instead of contacts. =)

Wait as long as possible, but if you have to wear them...do what the other answer said, use old contacts and then throw them away to prevent re-infection...but really, wait as long as your eye doctor says....
