I have no problem at all reconciling Science, God, Big Bang and the concept of Reincarnation, and honestly don't understand why others have such a problem with it. ....
I also believe that the Christ understood the concept of reincarnation and Karma, and taught that if you live a certain way, then you can erase your Karma, transcend the wheel, and go directly to Nirvana, or Heaven, if you prefer that term.
Not all souls choose to learn from multiple lifetimes, some truly are here for only one trip.
Kudos to you for taking the time to meditate and think about ideas being presented to you, and not just blindly accepting them.
The Bible is the most widely published book in the world, but with each publication and translation it is also edited, and somewhere along the line, whole books were left out. They are known as the "lost" books. I don't think this negates any of the teachings of the Bible, but a look at them certainly expands on them, and I do think that one should take it into consideration that it has been edited so extensively.

Your questions indicate a brilliant mind, and overshadow the difference between a big boom, and a big bang. (I'll bet the big bang created a big boom though.) Indeed, God could have created the big boom, and more than likely did, even though it wasn't recorded as such by the Prophets. And there is nothing wrong with understanding reincarnation either. Look at it simply. If your spirit can live in a physical body once, then why can't it do it more than once. All you have to do is be "born again," in another life. And no, it's not of the Devil.
Life is "of God."
Regards,
Chris

Despite the first answerer - science and religion can co-exist. It's a hard stretch for those who wish to disown faith altogether. They refuse to see anything that they claim doesn't have proof - as they cling to science that cannot be fully proved. Nice paradox.
If you are a Christian - it is said in the bible, by Paul I believe, that it is appointed to man to die once and then be judged. So on the reincarnation one - I can't see that and Christianity co-existing.
For the creation of the universe - we don't know how God did it. We have a brief, vague, description at the begining of the bible. Christians are not told all the details. It is highly plausable that the big bang and God creating the world are one in the same.
The question to ask yourself is: does this conflict with my faith? As a Christian you are to take the bible as your authority. So if it doesn't conflict with what you know to be true through the bible, then yes, it can co-exist with your belief. If it is conflict - then something is off and needs to be examined further.

As for the big boom - I don't know. God may have taken a long time to get this all together. Or He may have done it very quickly. Whatever WE all come from Noah.
Reincarnation? I believe reincarnation is just another deception. I take the bible very seriously. It says "it is appointed unto a man to die once and then the judgement" So if God says we only die once I believe we only die once.

God can do whatever He wants!
I believe in the Big Bang too...and I believe God put the Rock there to explode.
As far as reincarnation....I suppose it's possible with God, but the Bible doesn't describe any such situations...
There were people brought back from the Dead, but none who were brought back into something or someone else for a secong go-round.

Hi,
I came out of the Methodist church. I have no problem with creation and the Big Bang. Reincarnation usually has to do with if you were good or bad in this life, so you come back to learn. The Bible says it is appointed once to die, then judgment, so this doesn't allow for reincarnation.

Because God said in His Word that there is no reincarnation. If you promote an idea outside of the Bible, you will be putting people in danger with false notions. Best to keep with what the Bible says if you believe in God.

Honestly, re-incarnation is the only way I can think of for everyone to make it to heaven. And it won't be heaven if anyone is left out. Since I understand that nobody messes up on purpose and God must be at least as loving as I am, I know he won't fail to save everyone. So I believe everything is to some degree possible. Except that the bible is entirely correct. The bible has inescapable nonsense crawling all over it, mixed right in there with truth. It's okay to use your head. That's what it's there for. Good for you.

The extent of reality is so vast and complex that many things that we cannot reconcile in our finite minds as being co-existent and compatible truths exist. Science is only the study of these truths and not the source of them.
Yes, I believe that many things that we believe cannot fit together with our understanding of the universe can and do fit together. Our understanding of both God and science is incomplete and has a long way to go before any of us can say we understand it all.
Edit:
Big bang, big boom, I knew what you meant.

The 'big boom' is proposed for scientific reasons and supported by objective evidence. The idea of a god is ruled out by this very same ontology.
