I am 27 years old. I weigh about 205 pounds. By Mid June I must be 175. Thats about 2 1/2 months. I know green tea will work very well and exercise is still on the agenda, but for my size and height ( 5' 10") will eating 2,000 calories a day get me there so long as I mix it with fruit and veggies and the right kind of meat, or is that too few calories? Also, how much should I run? 1, 2, 3 miles?

2000 calories is the recommended amount for just staying the same. You may wanna decrease the calories, run for 3 miles or 30 minutes a day at least.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and thats how many you need to lose weight.
work out - cardio 4-6 times a week for 30-50min plus light weight training
8 glasses of water a day
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day
instead of big meals eat 5-6 small meals a day (portion control)
no junk food, no bleached flower (e.g.white bread, pasta), no sodas

I'd say that is a good calorie intake. Cut out all the extra calories you dont need. Exercise each day. It will help. Also I'd stick to fish and maybe chicken. Its better. I believe you can do it.

we are the same age and weight. but i am about three inches shorter. my doctor told me if you want to get to your ideal weight start at 1000 calories for a woman who is 5 foot tall and then add 50 calories for every inch after that. Since you are 5'10" you should consume 1500 in order to get to your ideal weight. Yeah and run or walk as much as you can. Good luck.

2000 is for maintaining your weight. For weight loss, you need about 1500. If you consume more, make sure to work out. You need to run about 3 miles (3 miles is about 30 min of running at moderate/brisk pace). If you haven't worked out for ages, start with a combined walking/running routine

the caloric intake should be based on the amount of fat free mass that a person has and the amount of daily activity that they participate in. this is if you want to want to maximize fat loss while keep as much muscle as possible. "guessing" at the caloric intake is one of many reasons why most can't lose body fat. the website below will give you a fairly accurate starting point for the calories.
