helping us to understand each other better
different religions , cultures , practises etc
the more we know about others , the more we can grow in ourself

All of religion & spirituality exists to elevate humans to our highest potential. Compassion is the key to empathy which releases us from judgement (of others). Without judgement we are free to fully accept and love ourselves. This places us in a position of grace which is the highest ideal -for every religion.

Becoming concerned about others helps to take the "I want/need, me, me, mes" and puts them on a more even playing field, allowing for emotional and spiritual growth.
