I had all my body covered leggings and everything and all around the church there were whisepers and people pulling their kids away!!!! I've never seen such a lack of hospitality in a church! I think absolutly nothing is wrong with it. I do think people should dress respectfully at church, but if that is how you dress, then that is fine, and at least you are going to church. People talk because alot of people are hypocrites, and not ever one that goes to church is saved.

The photo is a cute type of an outfit. I like it. But I think what made the congregation give you funny looks it the dress was low cut. Had you worn a jacket , they would not have stared at you so much. Our churches are not so snobbish anymore about clothes. I firmly believe a person can wear anything, as long as you come to worship God. BUT we also need to Respect the churches as they are refered to as the House of the Lord. When we go into Gods house we need full Respect to Him. The leggings were cute and acceptable, but it was the low cut top. So remember , when you go to worship , it is mainly in true beliefs and Respect. If you just walked into any church , trying to cause a scene, then I advice you never to do that. Have Respect for any church, regardless of what Faith. When you get older, you will realize this. Peace and Blessings to you.

There is nothing wrong with wearing that dress to church, especially with leggings underneath, making it modest! This is something I think we see all too often in our churches, especially here in the South across the "Bible Belt." It should not be about what you are wearing, or how you look when you go to church. You are there to spend time worshipping God, just as everyone else SHOULD be doing, instead of passing judgment. I wouldn't recommend going back to this church if that is how they made you felt. You want your church to feel like home! But please don't give up the search, not every church is like that! You will find the church where you belong and they will accept you wholeheartedly....awesome dress and all! :-)

its a thing called lust. The Christians realize they r animals, and pull there eyes away. The devil has everyone as a slave. and he breads us for heaven. A man would look at u, and there eyes would crave. Jumping to probably the next Cute woman beside u, that's the slave. Its called lust. not love. God has a hidden way, a way way hidden from us. only if u seek God and r a Virgin (and judging by the pitcher your not, lots of men, Christians and non Christians have already had u)will u find the way. The devil steals everyone love. That is the meaning to why there r no marriages in heaven. God kicked the beast out. And be carful how U dress, fear the Lord. For he is a God and he is HOLY.

There is nothing wrong with wearing black in church. Nuns wear black all the time, and it is considered appropriate to wear black to a funeral. However, after clicking on the picture, I think they were concerned because your dress was too short. Personally, I think those people need to mind their own business. If you felt a lack of hospitality, then this church is probably not the place for you.

Good luck finding a spritual home!

There is nothing wrong with wearing black to church. God does not care what you wear just as long as you show up. Remember, God can see you no matter where you are, what you are doing, or what you are wearing. So, I say wear what you want to church. Just keep it respectful! I think people should keep certain areas concealed (especially in the house of God). Why put on a mask to hide who you really are. Be real with God!!!

I think it is a pretty dress, maybe a little short to be appropriate for church, but you said you were covered. You say you are punk, could it have been something else, like a spike through your face? That can scare some people. Even so, there is no excuse for people being rude, find another church. You would have been welcomed at my church, regardless.

becuase it was different. don't you dress differenlty because you want to be different from everyone else? in doing that you are setting yourself up for people to look at you -since you don't want to blend in with everyone else. you have to realize that when you dress to stand out - you will. at church you should go in your "sunday best" which is generally humbly stated. you are there to worship the Lord, not attend a fashion show. that is not just you but many people doing that. also, they may have been uncomfortable and plled their children away only to keep the children's attention where it should be - on the Mass not on you. kids are kids and easily distracted. i don't mean that in a bad way.... thereis nothing wrong with wearing black to church by the way :)

Find you another church, I see nothing wrong with what you are wearing. Even if you came in dressed all in black looking like a devil worshipper you would be welcome at the Church my husband Preaches at, because one of two thing would happen, the Word would be Preached and you would have to except Jesus or You would have to leave because you could not take the Word of God.

goth people in a church just doesn't mix. and i DO NOT mean 2 sound mean or anythin coz im a lil bit goth and stuff, but we have someone who wears kinda stuff like that 2 church, and i think most parents dont want their kids 2 see it, and it may not be the most "respectful" clothing to wear in a church. I tihnk thats crazy, but sorry to say- its true. For church, everyone expects nice clean light colors, not black. Also black represents death and all that kinda stuff.
