is ephedra illegal?

i am looking for a diet pill that contains ephedra is i heard they had lifted the ban but then never heard anything again and i cant find a diet pill with it does anyone have any info on this?? sorry if i spelled it wrong...lol

Ephedrine is now a highly controlled item used for raising BP and other cardiac conditions and a brain stimulant.
Exercise and diet control is the best option.

'Ephedrine' is not illegal in Canada, not sure of the US.
