Yes. One of the early uses of super glue was to stop bleeding in injured soldiers during the Vietnam war and several versions have been approved for medical use. Medical super glue has a different formula and causes less irritation but the household version is still effective. Be careful not to get any in the cut but use it to hold the wound closed.

Is it safe to use ordinary household cyanoacrylate glue as a medical glue? According to Reference 7, most cyanoacrylate glues not designed specifically for medical use are formulated from methyl-2-cyanoacrylate, since it produces the strongest bond. Not only can such glues irritate the skin, during polymerization they can generate significant heat, to the point of causing skin burns. I gather this is a problem only if a large area of skin is affected. But to err on the side of safety, you should tell your brother-in-law he should only use medically-approved glue, not the ordinary kind. And always be careful using it--I know families are supposed to stick together, but there are limits.

I wouldn't advise it. There are too many chemicals in super glue that can harm you. There are products on the market that do a similar type thing and are safe for you to use like this. One brand is called NuSkin and it works well.

yes. people actually use it in peircing parlors for when they have an accident and have to stop the bleading. my father doesnt like doctors and he works in construction and he glued beck part of his finger and it works as good as new! some who cant afford doctors use it when they are worried about a deep cut and super glue it shut. use it... it'll do good for your finger.

Yes, I do it all the time. It works good if you get cracks on them, too---I work with metal, and am usually covered with cuts & cracks, and the glue helps keep them "closed" so they heal faster. Especially when they are on or near a knuckle!

Yes I have heard that this is true, but they do sell medical products for this. They have one that is always advertised on TV,showing that doctors use it and you can too. If the cut is not too bad you could put a bandage on it right away, like a "butterfly" that should work too.
