There's this guy who I have known for several years- just to chat to on the street and a few drinks. He wants to come round to my house- but I'm wary of developing the friendship in case he is not to be trusted. What should I do?

why dont you arrange to go for drinks with him with friends! that way youll be together get to know one another but there will be other people there!
i relaise that its more then friendship he wants but you need trust between the both of you to get ay where!

if you want him in your house get friends, that way your safe and dont have so many drinks just in case everyone is going to get a hang over. this is you trust him at least a little. If you dont just say you made plays w/ your girlfriends and had this plan for about a week now and cant back down. And get to know him online and stuff. GL

If you've known him for several years and are worried that he can't be trusted...then DON'T TRUST HIM!
I would definitely trust your own instincts in this case.
You've known him for years & you don't feel you'd be safe "Home Alone" with him - so don't do it.
You only get one chance to stay safe - trust yourself - don't risk it...
(I'm actually scared for you!)

Has he done anything untrustworthy? You have to trust someone at some point or you'll be alone forever. Just take things slow and see where it goes.

it all depends if u feel that u can trust him .............because we all have that gut feeling that we almost always ingnore........ that tells us if we can trust someone or not ..................... tell him that your not sure that that would be a good idea at this time and see if he pushes u to let him or not if he does then u probably cant trust him

You have to go on faith, if you can't put your faith in him, if your gut feeling says he's not trustworthy then it's not meant to be.
