I went to one! I'm not Catholic anymore, but I do have to commend Catholic education, it's a darn shame those teachers get paid so little!
It was so great to go to high school with all girls, there was no distraction of boys, and the teachers had a lot of girl talk with us. Trust me the all boys school and our school had dances almost every week, so we were not in a boyless bubble...but we were able to concentrate on US and not THEM. Makes all the difference in the world.
I also found that I was much better prepared for college because of it!

I went to an all girls Catholic high school for 2 years. Then, it merged with a co-ed Catholic high school. This was in the 70s. When I graduated, I was ready for college- at least the learning part. I knew how to write a term paper and to prepare for tests. I also learned respect for my teachers.
There were many times when we joined up with another boys high school to discuss contemporary events and to share views.
I liked the atmosphere. I learned a lot and made lots of friends and felt very comfortable in the school. The 70s was a period of change and transition. The Sisters encouraged us to ask questions and to be a part of the 'change.' (Civil Rights and Women's Rights for example).
My brothers (all 4 of them) went to a Catholic boys high school (Jesuit). They, too, received a very good education.

I went to Catholic school for 14 years - including highschool.
A lot of my classmates where not Catholics, a couple were from Jewish families and others where from non-religious. The rest from various Christian denoms.
Catholic school is generally a lot more rigorous in it's schooling, demands more from it's students and also offers more chances at learning and activites. I started taking college level courses when I was a freshman.
Also - a lot of college/universities like having students from a Catholic high school. They tend to be more disciplined and focused, and have a good work ethic because of their years of Catholic schooling.

Some are gonna say, "They're hot and loose, I love all-girl Cathoic schools!"
I never went to one, but have read about and heard that their curriculum is more advanced than that of the public school system. I guess it's a good thing, especially since there are no boys to distract the girls while in class.

Hmm, I guess it depends on the one you go to..
The one I'm in seems to be the same as public schools, but more expensive, and with less kids. I think we have the oppurtunity for a better education. There's still a ton of swearing and all that, haha.
Oh, mine is co-ed.

Their record speaks for itself. They consistently have the lowest dropout rates, the lowest rates of drug use and crime, and the highest percentage of graduates going on to college. Which is why so many non-Catholic parents send their kids to such schools.
