How can I avoid the temptation of sex in the future?

I'm a christian and yes I have sinned against god. I'm 18 and had sex with the guy I was dating. I have asked God for forgiveness and now I really want to wait till marriage to have sex again cause I know it will be better

I have been smart by using contraception but I want to stay true to god. The guy I had sex with is 20 months younger than me

The guy I had sex with wasn't a believer to start with but now believes and it's not easy on us both as our families don't believe

You have made a very proper decision, and God will bless your efforts at celibacy--maintain your chastity through His strength. "Shun all evil"--God would expect you to not place yourself in harms way. In other words, avoid situations where you will be alone with a tempter--seek a chaperone--and pick who you associate with very carefully.; remember, the Bible tells you not to be unequally yoked.
