The terms disease and disorder are often used interchangably, but there is a difference. Disease is a definite morbid process having a characteristic train of symptoms. A disorder is an upset of health or functioning.

Hemophilia would be a genetic disease. Color blindness would be a genetic disorder.

Unless you're an incurable hair-splitter, don't lose sleep over the distinction.
