How can i make my computer make a noise when i am getting a phone call, i have the telephone modem for the cox phone, and i was just wondering how to make my computer make a noise when somebody is calling, its like a internet phone, and also with the computer making a noise, is their a way their can also be caller id on the computer, can somebody please help on what i need to do hook that up

If the phone modem INSIDE your computer has caller ID capabilities, then yes. Just run a standard telephone splitter out of your digital telephone adapter and run one line to your computers internal modem and the other spot uses your existing telephone cable. If your modem is not caller ID compatible, it will just make a noise but the ID will always come up no data. Internal Caller ID capable computer modems can be bought cheaply on eBay if needed. It can also SPEAK the name of the caller on your computer speakers if you so desire.
