The situation is my gf is great and so is our relationship. But every once in a while she gets pretty worked up and emotional w/ seemingly little provocation. And I'm fine w/ it, I really am, that's a girl's right, anyone's right for that matter, but almost every time it happens, she gets weird and distant w/ me. I want to cheer her up, or at least try, but I'm not going to work to see her (sometimes I think it would take begging) when she gets like this. And, of course, I am asking b/c she's doing it right now. I think I am innately attracted to her b/c I can tell, have always been able to tell, that she IS emotional, she just sorta loses it every once in a while. How do I tell her that I actually like the fact that she has so much depth to her w/out making it seem like I am going, even willing to, fight thru this emo. hurdle w/ her every time she gets like this?

that's great that you appreciate your relationship with her. i think the simplest and best way to go is to be strait foreward with her. Tell her, "But every once in a while she gets pretty worked up and emotional w/ seemingly little provocation. And I'm fine w/ it, I really am, that's a girl's right, anyone's right for that matter, but almost every time it happens, she gets weird and distant w/ me. I want to cheer her up, or at least try, but I'm not going to work to see her (sometimes I think it would take begging) when she gets like this." a relationship is about being completely honest with one another. Perhaps you should ask her why she thinks you two become distant. that would be the honest thing to do.

It could be time of her month. give her some chocolate or dessert to pass her swing mood.
