Simple to track down. Follow the lines from your compressor, which is run by a belt. The low pressure side goes into the passenger compartment and the high pressure side goes to the condensor, which is located under the hood, by your radiator.

You only install freon into the low pressure side. Somewhere along that line going toward the passenger conmpartment, there will be a "T" in the line with a cap over it. This is where you install the freon.

BE SURE you know which type of freon is already installed in your system. If this is the first time you have addressed this issue, for safety, you might seriously consider taking it to a professional.
