Most languages don't have a one-to-one correlation with English, especially where idioms are concerned. A language has to be learned in its own right, rather than simply as a code for English - it just won't work that way. The one possible exception is Esperanto, which is a purposely-created language that was intended to become a sort of world-wide language, able to be spoken and understood by those who speak many of the most prevalent languages in the world.

English is taught in most schools around the world. It was selected to be the universal language. One reason has to do with the migrating of immigrants to the North American continent where English is the predominant language. I don't think anyone knows why countries have different languages. But, all those languages are translated to English when necessary, like at the United Nations.

I'm not really sure what you're asking.. but I guess I'll just say that all languages are pretty much meant to say the same things, but not in a way centered around the english language. It's all the same, just not translated.

lol no they don't, they refer to things that have english compatibles. Bonjour in french does not mean Hello, it is a way of introduction created a long time before any english was. All languages aren't mysteriously refering back to english, but all words have to refer to something and since we all live on the same earth some words are going to refer to the same thing and there is were you have a translation.

Their words do not mean English. Blue in English refers to a color, bleu in French refers to the same color. That color IS itself, it isn't blue or bleu, we simply describe it that way with our language. Other languages are not based on English, they developed of their own accord and English evolved from some of them.
