Midnight? Pepper? onyx? Mr. E.Kat (he's dark and "mysterious" hahaha, sorry I had to say it!). what are some non-english words for dark or black? Maybe something like that could fit as a cat name. Which is the beach with the dark sands? You could call him Riviera for his plushy coat and handsome look. Call him something spanish or Italian perhaps: Tomas El Gato (tom the cat)?
Maybe you can sit with him and play for a few minutes and something in his manner or attitude will spark something for you. Is he daring? Is he a cuddle cat? Do you expect to have to call him indoors from being outside? You don't want to shout some fluffy name late at night when you want the cat to come home...provided it listens to when it's called anyhow.

Hi
We have a male black cat that came to live with us a few years ago. At the time my daughter was a big fan of the Sabrina the Teenage Witch programme shown on Nickleodeon, so she insisted he was called Salem. It really suits him as he has a little pointy face, even our vet says he looks like a really witchy cat!!!

I have a black cat also, and we had a hard time picking out the name. We ended up with Adi because of Adidas. But for a male, something that has to do with halloween would be good. Somthing like Boo or Pumpkin.

Rush, Deramew, Wander, or Mimic, those are strange and unusual names. Perfect for the mysterious air of a cat.

How about Hunter? I'm not sure if he'll be an outdoor cat or not but it seems to be suitable for a black cat, don't you think?
