Keep reading for help, but I just want to say that I am sorry that you have nervouse issues, but you will have to do the presentation infront of the class anyways so I would reccomend going to a website for help. Anyways for loosing your voice I have a couple ideas. One is don't drink a lot of liquids like tea or things with honey. These will sooth your throat and not help the process. Two, I would reccomend laughing a lot, and trying to sing to songs very loudly. Singing is similar to yelling except it gives you a variety of notes so it will loose your voice faster. Laughing uses a different part of your voice and may work for you. I know you said yelling dosen't work, but I would reccomend to stick with it. If you keep yelling it will work at sometimes. You have to do these things for a long time and you can't just quit after a bit. Then you will loose your voice. I would also try to cough. Soon you should loose your voice. Good luck!

I believe you have a serious problem... no, not with your voice but with your attitude... if you are really not ready for that big presentation, then just tell it to your teacher that you are not yet ready. That's the proper thing to do.. Trying to lose your voice is a hilariously dumb idea for an excuse! what if the teacher ask you to "OK, just give the presentation and I'll show it to them...". Your attitude is a "loser's" attitude - and if you don't get it off your system chances are you'll be a looser all the way. C'mon man, GROW-UP pleaseee?!

Can't you just fake it, who will know if you really can speak or not. Just make sure you don't slip up and talk before or after and that your teacher can hear you. Maybe if you you are so nervous your voice won't come out anyway. If everyone has to make a presentation don't feel so bad, but you will have to do it eventually. Write everything down so you don't leave anything to chance, and glance up and down at your index cards that you have everything written on, I have done this. Everyone is nervous and just think of everyone in their underwear and you won't feel so self conscious.

Why don't you try asking your teacher if you can do the presentation from your seat? I often feel nervous presenting in front of my peers, but it's less nerve wracking if I am not standing over them. You can also try speaking to a point above their heads, and pretend they're not even there. I guarantee you that the others in class will be thinking not about you, but about their own upcoming presentations, and feeling nervous themselves. If you back out, you'll regret it, and she'll just make you do it later. Just give it a try. Good luck.

Screaming didnt work? Try screaming even more... It takes me an awesome 3 hour concert to lose my voice... or try smoking 10,000 ciggies by tomorrow morning.
Or work on the real problem... your nerves... my buddy in German class had to down a bottle of Mad Dog 20/20 to do his speeches... Not the method I would recommend, but it worked for him.
Or just sac up and do it... after a couple times it gets easier. Trust me...

SO SILLY. help we are surrounded by millions of aspiring dopes and mental cases. weak, hopeless and devoid of an intelligent productive future. we know so much more and, you what, i suspect that is what is wrong (recall the tree of knowledge anecdote). the more people lose the fantasy of fables and religions and understanding of biophysics the more depressing it looks. life is beautiful to a small crawler when the Christmas tree lights are flashing and the music chimes and people smile for a few days. there are those high points of our genesis. then a rap and a loss and an insult and some obvious loss of love and respect. things eventually get tough for most. then they get old and then it is an accelerating slide into the fiery belching mouth of hell fire and black smoke until the pain is too much to bear and something finally lets go. and you are free. and then you leave a space for the one behind you to do pretty much the same thing. gee, kinda like a long line of cows or pigs marching into the slaughterhouses. an air hammer stuns them and the throat is sliced and all the blood runs out in a gush into a trough to be used in various meat products.

If you don't present now, you will sooner or later. I agree with all the other people who tell you to "practice."
Tomorrow, I have to do a presentation on this very stupid business plan, so I know how you feel.
Practice.

First of all, don't fake it. You still will probaly end up doing the presentation anyway. Try rehearsing your presentation the night before. Good luck!

I wouldnt scream and scream if I was you, that damages your vocal chords, sometimes irreversible damage. And it might not even work. I used to scream my lungs out with my friends and I never lost my voice, I just got all twitchy. Screaming makes you lose magnesium. spAsMs baby

Just give the presentation! If you don't do it now, you're going to have to do it later. You might as well just get it over with.
