You should try white chocolate and raspberries. I made muffins with these in them and they were delicious!

I usually just buy the cheap mixes like "cinnamon" or "banana nut" and make the mix. After spooning the mix into the muffin tins (about 1/2 to 3/4 full) i add a related item as a dollop on top. i.e. I made cinnamon muffin mix then had some carmel dip for apples in my frig, so i topped each with a spoonful of the caramel and then sprinkled cinnamon and sugar on top of each. Or, for banana nut mix, add some mashed up bananas, mixed with some whipped cream if you have it...add nuts if you have them. Jelly or Jam is also great to add to the mix to make them MUCH better than the basic mix.

A caramel filled easter egg in the centre is awesome, half fill muffin tray, place an egg in then cover with more muffin mix. Mashed banana and choclate chips are great, and if you are health conscious substitude all sugar in any recipe for the same amount of honey. I think it's much moister and delicious.

It all depends on what type of muffins you want to make. For savourie muffins you could try adding bacon, onions, red peppers even a little bit of corn.
For sweet muffins, my absolute favourite is pumpkin and chocolate chip. Yeah I know, sounds revolting. But its the best ever. If you wanted to try something different Id recomend this.

One of my favourites is to add some powdered ginger in the mix and as I fill the muffin pan add little pieces of crystallised ginger
Bite into the crystallised ginger and wow. A taste sensation.

Fresh blueberries are my favourite! Add some coffee and that is just YUM!!!
Grated carrot, grated zucchini (sp???), and walnut is yummy for something different.
Fresh raspberries would be nice, too.
Happy baking!
