I used an aveeno cold sore medicine, and it doesnt sting at all, and it got rid of my cold sore in less than a week. Its about 12 bucks , im pretty sure.

Abreve. purchase over the counter, but it does work well. might be too late for current, best to start when sore is first building. Expensive, but small tube is good for multiple use/sores

Abreva...It's 18 bucks for a tiny tniy tube but it's works wonderful!

I pop mine then put abreeva on them and they go away in 2 days but theres tiny red mark that take about 5 days to go away but again there tiny

There is no immediate cure but if you take Lysine on a regular basis it will never come back.
My wife and I both have to use it and we take it every other day and we never get it again. EVER. !
Yes abrevia does work but Lysine, is much cheaper.

A virus infection - it will take it's course.... best bet is to limit spread with any of several over-the-counter lip medications... using several times a day... There is no cure... just 'repair'...
