YES! An emphatic YES!!! Natural oil from your scalp is wonderful for your hair. When you wash your hair and you hear it squeak...you've actually washed it too much, but not to worry. Hair is very forgiving. Just make sure you treat your hair gently when drying and brushing.

Your own natural oils are the best moisturizers for your own hair!! On the weekends, if I'm not going out, I'll try to go longer between washings and brush the oils through my hair. It helps to use a boar bristle brush that's all your own. It holds your natural oils and distributes them through your hair everytime you brush it.

Yes. That's why it's good to skip a day or two of washing your hair - so the oil can travel down the hair shaft.

Well obviously. (thats why its there)
Whenever you brush your hair, it kind of spreads the oil everywhere, and it keeps your hair from being dry and brittle.
Hair needs moisture, but if it get too oily (mine does in about 2-3 days) then wash it of course.
