The Quran says:

Jesus was never crucified. They never killed him. God took his soul and terminated his life.

3/54 They plotted and schemed, but so did GOD, and GOD is the best schemer.

3/55 Thus, GOD said, "O Jesus, I am terminating your life, raising you to Me, and ridding you of the disbelievers. I will exalt those who follow you above those who disbelieve, till the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is the ultimate destiny of all of you, then I will judge among you regarding your disputes.
----
4/157 And for claiming that they killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of GOD. In fact, they never killed him, they never crucified him-they were made to think that they did. All factions who are disputing in this matter are full of doubt concerning this issue. They possess no knowledge; they only conjecture. For certain, they never killed him.

This scripture (I use the term loosely) totally invalidates the entire Bible. Not only was it prophesied that Jesus would be hung on a tree and undergo the trama of the crucifixion (Ps 22), but because Yeshua was used as our sin offering, we are able to obtain eternal life. The quran is, therefore, not accurate words of God, but the words of a man bent on his own agenda. Salmon Rushdie is right when he titled his book the Satanic Verses.

Yes it is ok! Please do!!
Why would it be bad? The Quran was sent from God as well. The Quran is the third book sent from God, it clears things up that we hadn't known previously and just elaborates on everything that is written in the Bible!
I read the Bible and was a Christian before reading the Quran. After reading the Quran I discoverd many new things that made perfect sense and Truly honestly believe that the Quran was sent from God as well as the Bible and it IS the Last book..

usually to sit quiet and respect
quran is not an ordinary book so put it on some thing higher in case you sitting on mosques floor
quran is the miracle of prophet mohamed

it is a talk to the hearts in some places

Of course you can read it. It will help you to understand how others think and feel. You can read the Torah, too.

I'm currently reading the Bible. When I get done with that I'm planning on beginning the Torah, and then the Quran. I'm looking to learn not only the differences, but the similarities in our beliefs.

I could never understand it. Not to mention their are how many versions of the bible. So when I met my husband, I was given a Qu'ran later, you know. Well needless to say i now choose to learn islam. The beauty of the Qu'ran is it has never been changed. It is amazing. Anyone can learn or read the Qu'ran.

It's okay to read the Quran, if you are interested in Islam. But I suggest you read about Islam as the Quran may be a bit complicated for someone who's not a Muslim.

I believe that God wants us, as His children, to learn about other religions as well as our own, so we can know how to defend our arguments and answer their questions. The Bible and the Quaran are not nearly as similar as many people say, but as long as you stand firm in the Word of God, it's okay to know what other people in the world believe in.

Well, why do you wish to read it? If it is so that you can better understand those you wish to reach with the good news of the Bible. I would say that you can, but there are already many books written on how to reach various people with opposite views.

But, if you mean to read them both for spiritual edification and treating them as equals. No. They are polar opposites and teach two different theologies.

Yes, it is ok for Christians to read the Quaran for educational purposes only. However, you shouldn't read it as your sacred text if you are not a Muslim.

A Christian may read the quran presently for various reasons, just do not embrace all of it. (I suspect, parts of it are similar to the Bible in what it advocates!!!
