the two best brands for used ,, in my opinion ,, are Chevy or Cadillac ---- or consider a Ford ... you want looks and style and high payments---- pick your own ---- it is a matter of add and subtract fron the ole paycheck to see how much you can spend a month for a ride.... then go to the car dealer of choice and discuss what fits in your budget .... there is a dealership that will work out a car you like to fit your pocketbook.... just go to the next dealer if the 1st choice does not suit you and the hubby....keep asking and searching for the right dealer--------- for the best car...... beware of the high pressure to buy while at the car store and you buy and don't get SOLD a car you don't want ... average score is approxamately 650 and you just go apply for the car you want and you will have your score in front of you for free....

Stick to the tried and true brands for reliability--> Toyota, Honda.

Don't be fooled by blind patriotism and waste your money on a Pontiac Grand Am. Many cars with "foreign" name plates are now designed and built here.

You can do your own financing if you want a better deal. Shop around ...www.bankrate.com

Credit scores can be obtained by contacting Experian or TRW
