I had my school pictures in a 8X10 frame and they must have gotten wet. Is there any way that you can "un-glue" them? Thanks.

If your pics are relatively new and were made with an inkjet or laser printer (or any other printer on dry paper), then you cannot put them in water.

Pulling them off the glass will very likely damage them. Sometimes heating the glass a little bit will make it let go (Do Not let it get hot enough to burn.).

The safest thing is to take the glass out of the frame, set it glass down on a scanner bed, and scan the photo into a computer. Once it is digitized you can touch up any damage with photo editing software, and then make new prints.

Good Luck

This sounds scary but I've done it myself and it works.

Photographs are made from paper that is meant to be immersed in liquids, so more water won't hurt the photo. Submerge the photo and glass in a sink or tray filled with cool water, and the photo will slide off the glass without any damage. Be patient - don't peel it off.

While it's wet, lay the photo face up on a towel and let it dry flat.

Good luck with it!

I have a picture that stuck to the glass too, at one part of it.
I hope you find an answer; then I will find it too.
Good luck. Pictures are priceless of our past.
