Unless you're sharing the cigarette with someone you just had unprotected sex with, you're fine.

There is always a chance but it is highly unlikely. You get HIV mainly by blood or though having sex with someone who does. People that smoke have (I am assuming cause I don't smoke myself) their mucus on their cigar and to get HIV a person would have to drink about a gallon of someones elses saliva. Its gross I know. So I really would not worry about it. However, if you want you can get tested be sure two weeks at least have passed because if you had contracted the HIV virus it does not show up in test right away.

the chances are very low. You can't get HIV from kissing someone who is positive with it...so I don't think you can get it from sharing a cigarette unless they have a cut in their mouth and bleed on it...

HIV and smoking cigarettes are both deadly, so what difference does it make? You have a double standard. You are the skillet and you are trying to call the kettle black.

Not unless there's blood on it from an open sore. HIV isn't transmitted in saliva.
But don't smoke anyway1
