Yes, it is. That was the first thing I checked when the issue arose. Fancy Feast (especially the Fancy Feast Elegant Medleys) is the only canned food he eats. Otherwise, he like people food - chicken, sardines, ice cream, even pizza. Luke is a very healthy, and not overweight Maine Coon.

RE:
Is Fancy Feast safe to feed my cats since the recall?

Fancy Feast is not on list. My cats (one is 11 years old) have been eating Fancy Feast since it's conception. It's the only thing they will eat and they are both extremely healthy. I have tried all of the other brands and they always put their nose up at it. The irony of this whole situation is that the so called "quality food" are the ones that seemed to be causing the problems...not the so-called "bad food". I will stick with Fancy Feast!

I also feed my cat Fancy Feast, and I have done so most of her life. I tried to feed her very expensive cat food, and she wouldn't have a part of it. I do, however, supplement her diet with Science Diet dry food, so she can get all of her nutrients. I leave the dry food out all day long and 1 can of Fancy Feast per day. She's doing great health wise. 4 years and going strong!

I work at a high-end pet food retailer in Arizona, but for wet food I feed my two cats Fancy Feast Elegant Medleys (seafood flavors). They split one 3 oz can daily. As long as cats are ACTIVE (not overweight), have clean fresh water on hand 24/7, and have access to either a quality dry food or dry treats that help with dental cleaning, a small amount of wet food each day will have no ill effects whatsoever. I'm not sure a wet-food-only diet is the best idea, but some cats have preferences and it's best to try and work with them instead of forcing your "knowledge" on them. It grates on me the number of "experts" who bag on FF but probably have never even read a label - particularly with the Elegant Medleys line. My cats get NutroMax roasted chicken dry food, they are healthy and exceedingly happy, and I challenge any cat-food know-it-all out there to tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Fancy Feast was not on the list. However, it's not a good quality food. I recommend trying your cat on any of these:

Here is a link that shows all the recalled food-Fancy Feast was not on the list, thankfully as I also feed my siamese Fancy Feast.

It's not one of the recalled brands, but it's also not a very good food - way to many grain fillers (which cats can't digest properly, so they do them no good) and by-products (which could be anything - organ meat wouldn't be bad, but it's likely thta by-products also include ground up feet, beaks, skin... all legal to declare as "by-products", and not dangerous to the cat as such, but nutritionally worthless.

Here's an article on how to choose a good cat food:
