Buying a new acoustic guitar and they come with D'Addario EXP strings. I really don't have a clue about guitar strings, are these any good? And out of interest, could you name any quality guitar string producers?

Those are good strings. For the most part, strings are all pretty much the same. I do suggest that you learn to change them every so often because over time they get worn and dirty. Oils and dirt build up in them. You'll notice a difference when you change to new strings. You'll play better and they have a better, brighter sound.

Yeah, D'Addarios are great! I like Earthwood- Medium Light and Clapton's Choice Martin Strings. They both have a rich and full sound. Good luck with the guitar!

Yah, D'Addario are good. Go to your local guitar store and ask what they have. You have to decide on the tension, and price point but you don't have to go fancy as far as brand is concerned.

They're nice strings. I personally prefer Dean Markley. To me, they sound brighter. It's all preference, you know.
