When all of my dogs, who are trained successfully NOT TO JUMP........when they would jump i would just raise my knee.
and say NO jumps! or"back"! or
*I would tell people to just raise their knee so the dog wouldn't jump on them. The dog see the raised knee and immediately gets down. I did knee him gently a few times, and he would fall back, he's just a pup and it didn't hurt.
Raising the Knee and a Firm NO jumps! or NO is good!

tell other's to raise their knee, you dog is in training.
Put up a sign, puppy in training. (if he starts to jump on you, say NO jumps /raise your knee.)
It doesn't take but 2-3 days, dogs aren't stupid!

My dog is med size, and he doesn't jump, but does have a chair that he sits in and greets guests at. He is really funny about it!! he jumps up on his chair so he is at their hand level, and waits to be greeted. he's part of the family. then he quickly leaves them alone.

My one friend would say off-off-off and it sounded like arf-arf-arf. I told him he was talking dog to my dog, and just say NO and raise your knee. He said, wow, it really works!!

"Down"is a command to drop and lay down -
Off is a command i use for the furnature, not people

When he does get the person to turn around and ignore him, the more attention and excitement we have in our voices the more they will jump up on you or others, calmly go into the room and barely look at him until he settles down, if he jumps turn your back on him and say NO, it works well for all large dogs.

Teach him 'No!' and 'Down!'. At 9 weeks, he is very young, so he will have to be reminded a lot. But a boxer is a strong dog, so the sooner you start teaching him manners, the better.

If you can, watch The Dog Whisperer for tips.

Good luck!

You can teach your dog to sit and be polite with people without hitting it. Make the dog sit in front of new people. If you can, get some friends to help you and make it clear to them that they are not to look at, talk to or pet the dog until it is sitting calmly in front of them. Once the dog is calm and sitting have them pet the dog and give treats.

Clicker training is a great way to teach your dog a lot of new manners.

you can take a little stick and bop him on the head when he jumps.teach him words likw down and stop. when he jumps up u can grab hs paws an throw him down it won't hurt them if you don't push to hard. when people can walk near him without him jumping give him a treat. also this may just be sign that he needs more attention

Tell people to ignore him and push him off of them when he jumps. when he stops jumping, give him attention. Dont give him treats to distract him from jumping.
