2 tablespoons of fresh chives will equal about 3-4 tablespoons of dried chives flavorwise. Fresh is always better.

Cook's Illustrated doesn't recommend using dried chives for anything (see link below), but I use them sometimes. I think the general rule of thumb is to use three times as much fresh as dried. But chives lose much of their flavor when dried, so I might substitute the same amount as the recipe calls for. Since chives need to be a last-minute addition, you'd have a chance to taste and add more, if needed.

do no longer hassle, dried chives are rubbish. the reality that they are off will purely recommend they are even much less tasteless. you would be extra appropriate off chuckin in some rosemary, that dries properly, as does oregano x
