might i reccomend watching the discovery channel this year, instead of believing in your murderous sky pixie?
All you do is try to convert buddhists, and hindus, and discriminate against us peaceful atheists with you 'book of life'.
You should be ashamed, you dirty hippocrites! You start wars, and laugh at gay people. Why don't you go to your heaven, to leave us with peace? Go get laid or something! (oh, that's right, your pedephile priests already took care of that for you)

I am not an atheist, BUT A RELIGION HATER!!

And even after all that, He still loves you.
To answer your initial question, God does not send people to Hell, any more than you were forced to post your question. It is the result of a choice that you make.
Those who go to Hell will do so because they will be unable to dwell in the presence of God due to the sin upon their souls. God is Holy and does not tolerate the presence of sin. His glory is not unlike the pyre of a blazing light. Darkness cannot approach it and neither can sin. Only those whose sin has been atoned for can approach God.
I think I will take your recommendation in part for I am quite fond of the Discovery Channel. Might I suggest you try the Cartoon Network? It sounds as if you could use the healing power of laughter in your life.
My God is not a pixie, so the rest of your recommendation is senseless and your charge of murder is nothing more than a feeble attempt at inflammation. Murder is a sin and God is without sin, ergo God does not murder.
With regard to trying to convert Buddhists and Hindus, I must plead guilty. We don't want to see them lost any more than we want to see you lost.
Discriminate? I'm sure you will tell us how we have discriminated against you some day.
I am not ashamed to be a Christian. I am quite happy with it. It is the best thing that has ever happened to me, and it has given me a measure of peace that has survived numerous troubles and trials in my life.
Can you honestly say that no atheist has ever started a war? I have never started a war, nor has anyone I know personally, so I really can't address to whom you are referring. I suppose you may mean the Crusades. And you would have a valid point. I would point out, however, that those who engaged in that particular aberration disappeared quite a few centuries ago. The Church, like a metal refined in a furnace, has been purified of that particular arrogance. We know that Christianity can not be forced upon others. Only the power of the Holy Spirit can draw the lost souls to Christ. The best we can humbly do is to make the introduction.
Granted you will find bad apples in even the greenest of orchards, and Christianity is no exception. We never claim to be perfect. We are just as human and subject to the errors of temptation and sin as you are. The difference is that we have a guide and teacher to show us the way and a companion to walk with us on that journey. There is an old saying that "Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven."
I have never (at least to my recollection) ever laughed at a gay person (unless he was a comedian and was trying to get me to laugh to begin with). One of my childhood friends confided in me about his orientation. It was a sad day and I took great pains to let him know that God still loved him, I still loved him and I would always be there for him, but I stood firm in reminding him that in the Book of Leviticus, God clearly and irrevocably labels homosexuality as a sin. I told him that we each have our crosses to bear, and we will all stumble from time to time. But God will always help us get back up and give us the strength to carry on. So I don't laugh at gay people. I know that they have a hard road to travel. I admire those who try to turn away from the temptations and shoulder the burden. I have known a number of them who have done so successfully and they are truly happy.
As for your final suggestion, I plan to take that one to heart. I will go to heaven. I hope that perhaps before it is too late, you will see the light for yourself and that I will see you there.
As for being an atheist: that is only temporary. In the end, every creature in all of heaven, on earth and in hell, will kneel before the Throne of Judgment and proclaim Christ is Lord of All. It is not too late to do so now.
He is waiting for you. You know he has been working on you or else you would not be in this section. Your barbs and spite are impotent weapons against a true Christian. We forgive.
If you hate me, it will be upon your head, though I forgive you of that as well. But if you find that something has been missing in your life and it has made you bitter and prone to lash out as you have with this posting, there is someone who can give you peace like a sleepy blue ocean. He is still waiting.

there is nowhere in the Bible that announces that God sends people to hell. Hell is a perpetual state of separation from God and dropping your being because it really is in God that we've our being. In different words hell is life with out God amplified. the enormous difference is that in this life we can nonetheless opt for God and in the subsequent we've already made our selection. imagine of it this way: you're madly, hopelessly in love and the man you're in love with does no longer go back your emotions and they reject you daily for something of their lives. Why ought to you anticipate them to promptly have a change of heart?
