No one had ever used a passenger plane for a suicide attack before. We made a lot of mistakes because we're all human. We've learned a lot since then.

No It was predestined to happen though the terrorists will get their karma. But not even a blade of grass moves without the will of the Supreme Lord. That is why one has to understand Karma and Reincarnation to understand Gods all loving nature. Lord Krishna says "As long as their is animal slaughter then their will be war and famine. So if we don't stop eating meat and supporting slaughter houses we can expect so many wars, and natural disasters and hunger etc. The lesson is stop killing and less killing will come around.
