There have been (even recently) reports of strange animals in the amazon and the congo that sound a lot like dinosaurs. And there are reports of giant flying reptiles in Indonesia, and so forth.
There are thousands of square miles of almost impenetrable swamps and thick jungle in the world. Natives in some of these places describe beasts that fit with what just might be dinosaurs. And what about all the sightings of lake monsters (like the Loch Ness Monster)?
This is a field called cryptozoology—the search for hidden animals. There just might be a few dinosaurs left, teetering on the edge of extinction. We are constantly discovering new species of animals and plants in remote areas. A tree can’t run away and hide and yet the Wollemi pine tree avoided detection until just recently (said to have become extinct millions of years ago). An evolutionist has to say, “No way.” But a creationist has no problem with this and can say, “Maybe.”
I just don't know what you mean by a "true creationist."

Okay, first of all, Nessie is not a dinosaur.
There are several theories about what the creature is, if it does indeed exist -
1) One of the theories is that it is a large kind of fish, perhaps like a giant carnivorous eel. This is discussed in the book "The Loch" by Steve Alten.
2) Another theory is that it is a kind of long-necked seal or similar mammal. If it was, its warm-bloodedness would allow it to survive the frigid waters of Loch Ness.
3) The most popular and well-known theory is that Nessie is actually a plesiosaur, which is a kind of long-necked marine reptile from the Mesozoic Era. Let it be known that plesiosaurs are not dinosaurs - they are from a group of distantly related reptiles. This is perhaps the most common mistake that people make about plesiosaurs, so don't feel bad about it. Here's something to help you remember - no dinosaurs were aquatic - all dinosaurs were adapted for life on land (except for some birds, but that's another story).
ALSO (and this is important!), not all true creationists believe that dinosaurs are still alive today! In fact, many creationists believe that the Earth is billions of years old, and that the dinosaurs went extinct before God created humans. This belief does not interfere with Scripture at all.
Don't believe me? Take a look at this Christian website that talks all about it.

No creationists don't all believe that. And we believed that after the flood the dinosaurs died out because of the changed climate. Well, it is possible that a few dinosaurs can be still alive. In the 1800's one was sighted and there are rumors of some in the jungles of some remote place. They might be still alive and they might not be. We base our beliefs in the truth and that is the Bible.

Wow. Just....wow.
I love how the entire first section of the article is an attempt to demonstrate that "Jurassic Park" wasn't real.
As for the rest of it, always amazing for an outsider to read. At least they aren't coy about the real purpose - it's "how to respond to the evolutionary comments." Some of the people who answered are even aggressive about it - "Evolution: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups." Where's the website that'll instruct me on how to respond to that crap?
