I am in my brothers apartment and I see the box of cheez-its, so I grab a handful and say to myself-- that's it. Well three handfuls later and a significant amount of the box being gone now.. I still can't stop. Maybe it's the cheesy taste or the crunch. who knows? Is their a scientific reason or secret ingredient they put in there to get people hooked?
Now I know what they mean by "Get your own box".

You taste the cheese in Cheez-Its, unlike other cheese crackers.
Have you tasted the white cheddar ones? By the time you get home from the market, the box will be almost empty.

Ok, here goes: Think about fat, salt, and crunch! Historically, we didn't have those substances in our means and as soon as we discovered them we became addicted to them. Include sugar with the bunch too. Here's something to try: take one and simply hold it in your mouth and let it dissolve. You'll find that after a while they don't quite have the same delight as when you are munching them down by the handfuls.

because they're so small & fun to eat---until you realize you've eaten the whole box. I've found that the guilt only lasts until you can get another box. LOL

The FAT is what gets you. For some reason, stuff that is high in fat content is more pleasing than sweets to some. And cheez-its and Cheetos are FAT, FAT and more FAT. I love 'em too. lol
