It would probably be prudent to check the press releases numerous times per day. They have added quite a few since the first announcement of a recall. Purina products (Pedigree, Friskies, Fancy Feast) are indeed on the list. Hill Science Diet and Purina were added two days ago.

The recall was not for Pedigree, it was a company that makes store brand dog for, Wal-Mart, Food Lion, Pet Smart, and other grocery store chains, not really for the name brand stuff like Pedigree.

They have recalled 3 oz., 5.5 oz., 6 oz. and 13.2 oz. canned cat food, and
3 oz. and 5.3 oz. foil pouch cat food, and
wet dog food products made by Menu Foods but sold under the Iams and Eukanuba brands. A complete list of brand names is in the link.
No dry foods have been recalled.
Pedigree is not on the list.

You may have already found your answer. Just in case:....
Pedigree is Safe. Go to Pedigree website:
They have a statement that says the following:
Dog lovers,
We would like you to know that PEDIGREE® Food For Dogs is not a part of the recent nationwide pet food recall initiated by Menu Foods and other companies. All of our PEDIGREE® products remain a safe, nutritious and delicious way to feed your best friends.
As dog lovers ourselves, the safety and nutritional quality of our food is our top priority, and you should continue to feel confident feeding our food to your dog.
For details on the recall, contact Menu Foods at 1-866-895-2708 or visit www.menufoods.com/recall.
I have 2 puppies 7mos and 9mos old that eat the soft Pedigree pouches mixed with their dry dog food. I took them to get blood work yesterday at emancipet, $20 each and they check out okay. They are big ~65lb dogs. I wonder if smaller dogs are more prone to the rat poison chemical they found in the recalled Menu Foods Dog and Cat food. They are reporting 15 cats and only 1 dog has died from eating the recalled, contaminated food.

These are purina brands. Purina is made by its own company, not menu foods. Purina brands are not part of this recall.

At this point there is none on either of these foods.
These foods however are low quality filled with lots of cheap fillers and not enough meat protein.
