no, i think its probably just right. my wedding is april 5, of 08, and i will be going march 31 to order it. it depends on where you go. if its a place like davids bridal, they have tons of the same dress there, there is no need to order it now. but if its a designer store, like demetrios, then it takes 6-8 months for the dress to be made. then when it comes in, you try it on, then they have to alter it if it doesnt fit right. then a month before the wedding you go again and they alter it again if you have gained or lost any weight. congrats!

WAY to early to order your dress. You could lose or gain weight between now and then. Also, styles will change and so will your favorites. I changed my mind 3 times before finally deciding. I would table that expense until january of next year. Go to some bridal shows and look at some mags before deciding. there are a ton of other things that won't change between now and then that you can buy now.

it's not too early...but you might want to wait until the fall just to see all the new stuff that's coming out. But, having said that, I found a dress over a year before my wedding that I loved, but I decided to wait and see what else there was, and I ended up buying that one anyway!
I think when you find "the one"...you'll know

hold on to the style number an where you saw your dress you might change your mind by june of this year when u see the new dresses come in i say hold off unless you feel you will not add or loose any weight and you will be comfortable with this dress even if you might want a diffrent one closer to the date

i think someone else touched on this--- but.. i'm getting married in october (this yr) and i ordered my dress in jan. the lady told me they could only alter my dress 3 sizes up or down ... i dont know if you plan on changing weight that much. but another thing... i almost ordered bridesmaids dresses then... good thing i didnt... i have a pregnant bridesmaid due 5 days after my wedding!

No, it's recommended that you order your dress 6 months before your wedding, so you can get alternations done. However, you can order it now; just make sure you are in love with it and won't change your mind.

Absolutely. If you're so eager (as I was when I was engaged), then either move the wedding to an earlier date or pick out your dress, buy it, and be sure to manage your weight and make sure nothing happens to the dress.

Maybe maybe not, I'd wait a bit to see other styles and because the dress might go on sale before then, saving you money!! I'd definitely be aware of where you found it and watch for sales!

it is never too early to order your dress-the earlier the better- you will have so much going on that it will just be less stressfull to get it now-besides it takes a while for the dress to come in-good luck and congratulations!!
