My boyfriend and I are planning on going to Turkey in September, first in Istanbul then to more of a beach area. This will be our first vacation together and we want it to be special. What are some good beachy places in Turkey that is tourist friendly but kind of secluded and not extremely expensive?
Websites and/or pictures would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don't know where you are from but I am sure you will like Turkey. However, and I hope my Turkish friends do not get mad at me, there are much better beaches than the ones in Turkey. And yo don't have to go to far away. While in Turkey, hop on a plane from Dalaman or Antalya and fly to North Cyprus. You will find some of the finest beaches in the world. Soft, golden sand, calm and warm sea water, and it is crystal clear. Especially the beaches north of Magusa (Famagusta), to the Karpaz peninsula are natural wonders.
Visit Turkey and North Cyprus. Our cuisines are almost the same (we cook Turkish dishes, plus a few local Cypriot ones).
p.s. There is the risk of terror in almost all European countries nowadays. Turkey is no less safe than EU countries. Don't worry. It is just touristic anti-propaganda. Turkey is a very safe country. (North Cyprus is safer)

this was my answer to another question but i will copy it here since questions are a bit similar.
u can go to AvÅa or Marmara Islands, they are at the south of Marmara Sea. u can visit them by the cruise ship "mavi marmara" which departs from Sarayburnu (istanbul) in the mornings and arrives the islands in the afternoons every day.
i especially recommend you to visit AvÅa Island for going to swim... (links for info and pictures are below;)

I recommend Dalyan which has an excellent beach, ancient ruins, a pleasant town, mud baths, sea and a river and a lake.
